The history of Splash'N Boots can be traced back to 2003 in Kingston, Ontario Canada. It was there, while attending Queens University, that Taes and Nick performed their first concert together at the local Central Library as part of a class project. After performing 3 original songs to 14 unsuspecting people, Taes and Nick could have stopped there at the height of their game, however, in that fifteen minute show, they realized that there was no going back - Splash'N Boots was born!

Splash'N Boots kept on finding places to perform in the Kingston area and then, with money they didn't have, they recorded and released their first album; "Getting our Feet Wet," to a growing fan base. Upon graduation in 2005, to the valid confusion of their parents (and themselves!), Taes and Nick took Splash'N Boots on the road fulltime.

Since 2003, Splash'N Boots have released 5 award winning independent albums: "Getting Our Feet Wet", "Manatee Bay", "Popcorn Pickles and Parrots", "Razoo" and their latest .
Their songs have been added to several children's compilations albums along side children's recording greats like: Sharon, Lois and Bram, Raffi, Charlotte Diamond, Al Simmons and Fred Penner.
Splash'Boots music can often be heard on Gaxlie Satellite Radio, car stereos, and living rooms across the globe. 2008 brought the release of their first original DVD "The Splash'N Boots Show: Act 1." They recently released the sequel "The Splash'N Boots Show, Act 2" . They continue to generate new material, some of which can be seen in their Kitchen Jams!

Taes and Nick had no idea that a class project would quickly lead them to a life of traveling to places Nick had only read about on the farm. Their live show remains the heart and passion of Splash'N Boots and their genuine connection with the audience is felt in every concert. Taes and Nick have turned up the energy for audiences by headlining Festivals and Theatres both across Canada (from the Pacific to Atlantic Ocean) and internationally. Since their debut, they have staged over 1500 shows. Splash'N Boots have performed on 3 continents and in 6 different countries. An invitation to Australia saw Splash'N Boots perform at the FUN4KIDS festival where they shared the stage with the Wiggles characters. Taes and Nick were invited to perform in the Middle East in such exotic locales as Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It's best to ask them about that tour in person. 2011 brought shows in Bermuda, Nunavut and Europe. Stay tuned for exciting tour announcements for 2012!
Splash'N Boots are excited to announce their recent affiliation with Treehouse Television. Their music video, "For The Love Of Dance" is now played in households across the nation daily. They are also working with Treehouse LIVE, on their brand new show: Roll Play Live Animal Party. Stay tuned to see the live concert on Treehouse TV in 2012.
Their list of accolades and achievements include "Canadian Children's Group of the Year" at the Independent Music Awards (Robert Munsch and Jack Grunsky were also nominated), an International Iparenting Media Award for Top Children's recording and the Hamilton Music Awards also chose Splash'N Boots for Children's Album of the Year in '07 & '09. Nick and Taes are deeply honoured for the recognition they've received for doing what they love.
Charitably Splash'N Boots are the official performers of Sick Kids Hospital Foundation. Via live, onsite Kitchen Jams, the duo composes songs by request from patients which are then simulcast on the in-house television system. $1.00 from all proceeds of their new CD's sales will go to support Sick Kids Hospital. They have recently donated their first $1000 to Sick Kids.

Its hard to say what the future will bring for Splash'N Boots because they cleary have no idea what they are doing. However, what remains consistent from the very beginning is creating music and a live experience that can be shared by the entire family. This obviously has struck a chord, as Splash'N Boots, in few short years, have become one of the top children's acts in the country. Recently their new dog Lily has made her way into their live show. She seems posed and ready to steal everything they have worked so hard to achieve up to this point. Keep an eye on this one....

In closing, Splash'N Boots would like to thank those 14 people at that Kingston library for watching that 1st show and clapping. Your applause was really appreciated.
